The Pantheon

The Pantheon is a work-in-progress personal project started in a concept design team I was a part of. The team was designing a theme park land inspired by Greek and Roman architecture and the element of fire. Each person came up with an attraction in the land, and mine was The Pantheon: a circus-style show in the round that introduced deities that ruled over the land. When complete, I'll have a set and costumes for the whole show.

Theater Model

For this project, I relearned SketchUp to make a 3D model of the theater based on the 2D floorplan I drew in AutoCAD. This was used to get a general idea of the space for the show. I also took photos of certain angles so I could use them as a base for lighted illustrations of the different acts. The final drawings are currently in progress.

Groundplan

This is the groundplan I have of the theater so far. I included space for where the backstage space and queue would be in the building. Later on, I plan to design the queue as well.

Concept Art

This is a concept rendering of the theater when guests first enter. Faux windows surrounding the theater are lit with moving flame effects and the walls are weathered to look like an ancient colosseum.

Costume Design

I'm designing costumes for each of the main acts of the show. This one is for the tightrope act, performed by a goddess of nature and life. Because the land is fire themed, all the characters have elements of the fire theme in their design. Here, the bottom of her dress is singed.

Moodboards

I started out with moodboards for the show in general, along with ones for each act. This would inform the aesthetic of the set, lighting, and costumes.
